Year in Review | 2015

These posts are always the hardest and most time consuming to write, but they are so fun to look back on.  Twenty fifteen was exciting as we got to welcome our second child, Madelyn. The first  half of the year was pretty tough for me since I spent a lot of it sick during my pregnancy; but looking back through my old posts, I'm still amazed at how much we accomplished.

Ringing in the start of 2015

We traveled quite a bit...

 Anguilla

Vail, CO // Seaside Wine Festival // Miami

We announced that we were expecting Baby #2....

We welcomed Madelyn Faye...

And we had lots of fun entertaining and hitting up some great parties...

Overall, it was a pretty fab year.  If this year is any indication of what my 30's will be like, I think I have a lot to look forward.  Cheers to 2016!

Year in Review | 2014

Within the first two weeks of 2014 we had the ultimate high of finally moving into our new home that we've been building all through 2013, but we also had the ultimate low as we lost my Father the same weekend.  It was a really rough start to the year; but we grieved, stayed busy and continued to move forward as we had to raise a family of our own.

Shared our House ...

Traveled...

Entertained...

Watched Brody Grow...

For a look at last year...

Year in Review | Twenty Thirteen

I started this blog just over a year ago and announced that we had a new home! Well, we actually had a piece of land that was going to be our new home.  You can read that first post here.   We have spent all of 2013 building our first home and I have documented it along the way.  We started framing our house on January 2nd of this year and I can finally say we have a move in date of January 10th, 2014.  It's been a long journey and we've certainly learned a lot.  We feel very fortunate, but hope not to do this again for a very long time!!! But I can't wait to share the finished product with you guys during the new year.  For now, here's a look back on 2013....

We built a house...

We traveled a little bit...

We absolutely love to travel and happy that we were able to fit in a little this year even with Brody being born.  We rung in the new year in Vail, CO with friends and family and I traveled to Charlotte to visit friends from college.  We welcomed my sister-in-law into the family as her and my brother married in St. Petersburg, FL and then my whole family traveled to the Bahamas in April where we celebrated my Dad's 60th birthday and Matt and I's one year anniversary.   After Brody was born, we made a few small road trips and took him to the beach in Destin and then traveled with out the baby one weekend to Rosemary Beach with friends.

We squeezed in a few parties...

We threw a super bowl party and saw Jimmy Buffet in concert.  I went to New Orleans for my sister-in-laws bachelorette party during Mardi Gras and then we celebrated Mardi Gras back at home in Pensacola.  We joined in one of the biggest 5K runs around for St. Patricks day and then partied for my brother's wedding.  We spent Memorial Weekend at home in Pensacola which was also the weekend we moved into my Mother's house.  I went to my 10 year high school reunion swollen and 37 weeks pregnant and then we hosted the holidays at our house  my Mom's house in Pensacola.

We announced we were pregnant with a baby boy...

In January, we announced we were pregnant with a baby boy and then spent the next 6 months celebrating him.   We had lots of wonderful parties showering him with tons of gifts and patiently anticipating his arrival.

Our baby boy was born...

We have spent the second half of 2013 raising this amazing little boy.  We are so lucky to have a healthy baby that brings us so much joy {most of the time}.  You can read updates on this little man from this year, here.  Every age is more and more fun just as people tell you and I feel so blessed to watch this little man grow every single day.

Cheers to 2014!  I hope to slow down, be mindful, enjoy my family, appreciate my husband and all he does for our family, strive to be healthier and make sure not to take any day for granted.

xoxo,
