Scenes from Our Weekend | Thanksgiving + Giveaway Winner

I have quite the picture heavy post for you today to recap our Thanksgiving holiday.  We had an absolutely beautiful week at home to celebrate the holiday with lots of family.  It started Wednesday when my Mom's side of the family came into town.  We hosted everyone at our house on Wednesday night for dinner.  I had to take a photo shoot of these little cuties snuggling before the party started.

Thursday morning was Thanksgiving and we woke up with the kids and headed to breakfast at the good ole' Cracker Barrel with Matt's Dad.  It was the perfect big breakfast since we wouldn't be eating Thanksgiving dinner until late in the afternoon.

We headed to my Mom's house around 1:30pm where we were having Thanksgiving dinner.  The temperature was perfect and we were able to spend most of the afternoon outside and on the water.

Friday morning, we kept our family tradition going by heading to the tree farm to pick out our Christmas tree for the year.

That evening we ate leftovers at my Mom's house and then all of the cousins headed out downtown for a few drinks.  It was so much fun to all be together and catch up.

We celebrated my cousins engagement on Saturday afternoon and Sunday was spent putting out all of our Christmas decorations!  It was a busy few days and we tried to soak up as much family time as possible!

In fact, I was soaking up so much family time that I forgot to announce the winner of the Freshly Picked Moccasin giveaway.  I'm so sorry, friends.  The holiday got the best of me.

Congratulations to Ashley Snyder!  Check your email for details on your prize.  Thank you to everyone who entered this year.

I seriously can't believe that tomorrow is DECEMBER!!! I'm ready to get in the Christmas spirit.  Our halls our decked :)

Scenes from our Weekend | Thanksgiving

I love Thanksgiving because it always feels like everyone has a little more time off than at Christmas time and you can cram in a lot of good time with family and friends!! I certainly did that this year and I loved every minute of it!! We alternate the holidays every year with my in-laws and this year was a Malone (my husbands side) Thanksgiving.   They were in town for most of the week and we got to spend a lot of quality time with them, but I also got to sneak off for a night in Destin to visit a bunch of my Dad's side of the family early in the week and some much needed time with my best girlfriends since we were in the first grade!

Aren't they the cutest??

Brody had a blast in Destin playing with cousins.  My cousins have a bunch of kids, so I guess that makes them Brody's second cousins?  I never know how that works.

The girls were so sweet to him.  They were the best little entertainers. I wanted to take them home with me.

Brody passed down his red hot rod that he got for Christmas last year to his cousin William this week.  It was so sweet watching William in the walker and Brody push him around.

These two have guilt written all over their faces...

So Matt and I hosted our very first Thanksgiving this year.  I am so mad at myself for not snapping a picture of the table set for Thanksgiving Day.  There were nine of us and we all fit around the dining room table.  I was so happy.   Here are a couple pictures that I shared from our fall decor, but I switched a few things around on the table for Thanksgiving Day.

Trying to get a family picture was a bust once again.

I did get a quick snap of the food, but of course it was after we had attacked it :)

My niece captured this cute picture of Brody on her iTouch.  I was so impressed because I can never get him to smile and stand still!

Friday night we headed over to my besties parent's house and celebrated her engagement with friends and family!!  I loved chatting wedding talk with her and getting the planning process rolling!!

Saturday was filled with football as Brody cheered on the GATORS! Sad lose :(

And Sunday we took the little booger through Lowe's to start the Christmas decorating festivities!  We got so much done this weekend and I can't wait to share the details with all of you...

As fun as Thanksgiving week always is, I do kind of look forward to getting back to our normal routine again this week! Don't forget today is Cyber Monday.  I already have items in my virtual shopping carts and my list ready to go to knock out all my online shopping today!!!

Lots more Home of Malone's gift guides to come this week too, so stay tuned :)
