Our Honeymoon St. Lucia Jalousie Plantation

We absolutely loved our honeymoon!  We went to St. Lucia and stayed at the Jalousie Plantation.  It was perfect.  The accommodations were amazing and the people who worked there was so friendly.

The resort has now been bought out by the Viceroy hotel group and has changed the name to Sugar Beach

Sunsets were gorgeous every night

A great bar in the hotel called the Cain Bar.  It was a fun spot after dinner to have drinks, play pool, cards or checkers.

Our Beach

Our hike up the Gros Piton...this hike is no joke.

Painkillers back at the room to recover from our 4 hour hike

Headed to dinner at the Dasheene Restaurant at the Ladera Resort.

Day trip to Soufriere.  We had lunch at a local spot, visited the mud baths and the waterfall.  A bit cheesy, but was a pretty fun excursion.

Our deep sea fishing trip that didn't last long nor did we catch anything!

Couples massage and dip pool

Headed to dinner at Jade Mountain

Here is a video tour of our room at the Jalousie Plantation:

Our Wedding Weekend | The Reception | The Ritz Carlton

The reception was everything we had hoped it would be!  We wanted a party. My husband thought I was crazy about a week after he proposed to me when I was already booking the band for our wedding and was willing to coordinate a wedding date around when the band was available.   But it was definitely all worth it.  They were amazing and truly made the evening!  They know how to get the crowd up and dancing immediately and keep them on the dance floor all night long.  We had a cocktail hour from 8pm to 9pm at the Ritz and then the band played from 9-12pm.  We started an after party at midnight with a DJ and served midnight snacks and partied till 1am.  Then some of the young guests enjoyed Bourbon Street until the wee hours of the morning.  We were pooped and headed up to the Honeymoon Suite!

Our Wedding Video:

We also utilized a video booth instead of a guest book for everyone to sign.  The booth turned out hilarious.  We had the guests sit in front of a camera and they were asked 3 questions about the couple.  Let's just say there were some super drunk guests that hit up the booth!  It was great.  Here is the link.   It's almost 30 mins long, so be prepared.  It is password protected.  Use the password:  aught-five
