Our Weekend + Christmas Tour + PJ Party Link-Up

Can you believe it's the week of Christmas??  It's already been a crazy month.  I feel like it's been non-stop, but I really kind of like it that way.  I'm looking forward to a fun few days with my family coming up.  We spent this weekend celebrating Christmas at our house with my hubby's family which was a blast because it really got me into the gift-giving and gift-getting spirit :)  I woke Sunday morning, after we had celebrated with them Saturday, ready to open up all of our gifts!!  Brody had a blast with his cousins and he was pretty cute with his new toys!

I wanted to share a quick tour of our holiday decorations today too and a couple photos of Brody rocking some of his Christmas jammies.   As I've mentioned before, I was extra excited to decorate for Christmas this year because it's our first Christmas in the new house.  I love all the festiveness! So without further adieu...

Thank you to everyone that's sent Christmas cards this year!! I love every single one of them.  They truly make getting the mail a joy rather than a chore.

Brody's room got a little festiveness too.  You can see more pictures here

I did add just a touch of holiday spirit to our guest room as well with these cute standard shams that I picked up from SteinMart last year on sale! They were a very lucky find.  The red and green pillows were one's I already owned.

Here's a couple snaps of Brody this weekend getting ready to open his presents from my in-laws.  He loves his new toys!

Lastly, I'm sharing a couple snaps of Brody in his Christmas pajamas.  He wasn't exactly in the mood for photographs and ready to go night-night, but he still looked snuggly and sweet!

Five on Friday : Christmas Instagram Edition

Today for my Five on Friday, I am recapping a few Christmas instagrams from the week.  If you don't follow along, be sure to share in on my obsession @homeofmalones!

{ONE}
We decorated the tree this week and I'm in love... This photo really doesn't even do it justice.  I will definitely take some pictures of it with my real camera soon and share some of the details with yall.  My gal Courtney at Pizzaz helped my dreams become a reality!!

{TWO}
It's amazing how happy this little project makes me.  I've always been obsessed with pictures and Christmas cards and I was so happy to find this simple idea to display your cards from previous years.    You can download the free printable here!  It's not too late to start...

{THREE}
I was seriously so worried about Brody this year around the tree.  I thought it was going to be disastrous all month long while the tree was up.  I expected him to be pushing, pulling, grabbing, breaking and destroying the tree; but to my delight, it hasn't been that way at ALL!!! For the most part, he's kind of uninterested; but the few times he has touched it, he's kind of listened to me and quit!  It's a miracle :)

{FOUR}
I love the way our stairwell decor turned out this year and I can't wait to share it with all of you.  Here's a glimpse of it...

{FIVE}
I was excited to add a few Christmas touches to Brody's room this year and I'm pretty much in love!  I love walking into his room and smiling at all the Christmas cheer!! These flannel santa sheets are so darn soft and cozy.  I literally want to crawl in bed with him.  I plan to share some pictures in his room soon.

If you have missed out over the last week or two, I have been sharing some fun gift lists to give you some ideas for Christmas shopping this year.  You can find them here and then I have several more coming up next week, so stay tuned!!

Our Halloween + Fall Decorations

Welcome to a tour of our Fall/Halloween decor around the house!  One of the things I was most excited about moving into our new house was decorating for the holidays! I love to decorate.  I've had fun mixing some Halloween decorations in with Fall decor that I will keep around through Thanksgiving.

{Entry Way}
I'm still playing around with this area because I'm not completely satisfied and sorry I couldn't get a great picture of it either!

{Console Table behind our sofa}

{Dining Room}
This is how the dining room table started and then I just kept adding things to it. I'm pretty excited with the way it turned out!

Here's how it looks now:

Those are my favorite gold flatware from West Elm.  Big pumpkins are from Potterybarn and Home Goods.  Small pumpkins are real that I spray painted with chalkboard paint.  Can you guess what I'm using them for?  Candle holders are old from Potterybarn.  I'm sad they are not caring them anymore. Napkins are Potterybarn also.  Plates are Annie Glass from our wedding.

What are your thoughts on mixing Halloween decor with more Fall/Thanksgiving decor?  I don't have a ton of Halloween decorations, so for me, I love mixing the two.

Where do you find most of your decorations?  I've collected mine over the years from Target, Home Goods, Potterybarn and some of my favorite local stores.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to have a little Halloween dinner party in the next couple of weeks and I've already started brainstorming some pretty rad ideas :)  Maybe I'll share those ideas with you guys for our Halloween link-up party coming up on October 21st where all of you can share some of your favorite Halloween ideas, recipes, crafts, and costumes!!

Hopefully if you haven't already started decorating for Fall, I've inspired you to get off your butt and add a few pumpkins or skeletons around your house...whatever suits your fancy.
