Thoughts for Thursday's are all about whatever random things you have running through your mind that you're ready to type out on the keyboard. I always love how these thoughts are usually all over the board and of course, completely random. Feel free to write about whatever you would like and link-up below! Here's what my life lately looks like...
+ ISR - Brody started back his ISR lessons this week. He took them for 5 weeks last summer and they were amazing. He has done pretty awesome swimming this year which has been so nice, but he was definitely in need of a refresher course to teach him how to get is breath when he's swimming.
+ The Car Seat- I just moved Madelyn up to the bigger kid car seat and it's been pretty amazing! She still faces backward of course, but she know seems so much happier to have more room and be sitting up a little straighter. I always thought she just hated the car, but I think she really just hated the old bucket car seat. I changed Brody into his big boy car seat around nine or ten months too. They both use this Maxi Cosi Pria 70.
+ Clean your Car - I can't believe that I'm actually going to admit this, but my car has been so disgusting lately with sand, food, wet towels and who knows what else, that I actually saw a roach in it the other day {insert monkey covering eyes emoji!}. I just about died. I went on a hunt for someone that would detail my car at the house and it was amazing! I got it done yesterday and it feels brand new and makes me so happy. Who else is guilty of driving around in a filthy car???
+ Vail Trip is BOOKED - I 've been trying to figure out if and when I was going to take the kids out to Vail this summer to visit my Mom (she lives out there for two months in the summer time). We have been out there with Brody for the last two summers (here and here) and I feel like it is his own personal summer camp. It's so gorgeous and the weather is perfect that I was dying to take Madelyn this year too. We are booked for the end of August and I can't wait.
+ Both Kids Start School this Fall- It seems pretty crazy to think that both of the kids will start going to school Mom's Day Out together this Fall. I just ordered Madelyn her first lunch box from PBKids while they are running a back-to-school sale. It felt so weird. She's still just a tiny baby!! I'm looking forward to them both being on the same schedule the most. I love the way school does that. Brody is in a little summer camp at his school this summer a few days a week and yesterday I snapped this adorable little stage they built in the class room. They have a bunch of dress up costumes and do little plays.
+ Annie's PB&J Sandwiches- Speaking of school, if your kids are in a "peanut-free" classroom, Annie's Homegrown has come out with a new PB&J sandwich in the frozen section that is made with PEAS! How cool is that?? I found mine in the freezer section of Target.
+ Fall To-Do List- I have an ever growing to-do list that constantly runs through my head and I'm hoping to tackle it this Fall. There are so many little "projects" that I plan to complete when both kids are at school at the same time. I could have a completely quiet house all to myself for a few hours a week!
+ Date Night - Matt and I grabbed a fun mid-week date night this week and I wore this cute off the shoulder dress. It's available in three colors in lots of sizes. I love the fit and all the cute color options (black is on sale). I wore some simple sandals with it because we walked to dinner and I'm glad I did.

+ Hello Fresh - We've been cooking Hello Fresh meals for the past 3 weeks now. I'm loving that they take the hard part out of cooking for me...deciding what to cook! And the fact that I don't have to grocery shop for it is pretty nice too. It's working well for us now, but I also love the idea of being able to pause it for a week or more if I need to because some times Matt is on the road for work. I have FOUR free meals to anyone that is interested. The first four of you to leave your email address for me below can have them!

I can't get over how bit Madelyn is getting!! We have the same car seat for R and he loves it!! I'm so interested to hear about the ISR with Brody, we looked into that with R but it kind of terrified me honestly. I'm so glad to hear it worked well for him!

ReplyDeleteGood morning. Oh, I love when those babies go to that facing forward car seat. We have a 1.5 year old and a 3 year old grandson and I know how they change from cry babies to happy babies.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the link-up.
Just moved Leo to that Maxi Cosi seat and he is lovvving it too! I think the extra wiggle room really helps. And I'm reallllllly jealous of MDO!
ReplyDeleteGreat dress! And I love Vail! Lucky you!
ReplyDeleteLove that dress on you!
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome someone was came to you to detail your car! So convenient!
ReplyDeleteShe is just so adorable with all those curls!
ReplyDeleteLove that cute dress on you lady! I’m a big fan of Annie’s snack for myself :) but those pb&j made with peas is genius for little kids!
ReplyDeleteThat dress is so cute on you! And Yay for ISR! We just finished them about a week ago and we are so happy that we did it! We even "graduated" 2 weeks early :) So happy to have her at least be able to roll over to breathe...most of the time. Now to just practice, practice, practice! And yay for time for yourself this Fall! How wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThat dress is so fun for summer! A trip to Vail sounds wonderful - enjoy!
ReplyDeleteWe're going to Vail for a few days at the end of August!! That'll be a fun trip :)
ReplyDeleteI had no idea about the Pea B&J's from Annie's! I'm going to have to snag those because Walker's Mother's Day Out is peanut-free, too. Hopefully he won't notice the difference. ;) And thanks for the heads up about the PBK sale! I needed to get Knox a duffle like Walker's from there, so I'm glad to know they're having a good little sale! :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad you posted about the big kid car seat for Madelyn because I've been wondering when we need to switch over Oliver. He has no problems with his baby car seat but I'm just getting tired of carrying it! I saw those pea b & j sandwiches and thought they were genius but wondered how they tasted! Oliver is starting school in January and I'm so looking forward to him making little friends! I'll have to check out those PB lunchboxes!
ReplyDeleteI try to keep my car clean, but with two crazy kiddos and a busy schedule all the time, it's hard! I would love to have mine detailed - hopefully one day soon!:) Vivian is starting Mother's Morning Out this year too, and like you, I am looking forward to both Caleb and Vivian being on the same schedule. They don't go through lunchtime, so I haven't had to order lunchboxes, but it is definitely weird to think that they are both old enough to go to 'school' now! And girl, I think I need to get into something like Hello Fresh or Blue Apron or something. Because meal planning is killing me. I don't mind MAKING the meals, it's coming up with a variety of meals and getting the ingredients needed....I don't have the time or energy to put that much thought in anymore! Looking into it now!
ReplyDeleteOh man, I am totally guilty of the car thing right now! Our lives have been so crazy lately that it's hard to have enough time to get the car washed and detailed. However. That's a must do on my weekend list this weekend! Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, those PB&J sandwiches are genius!!! I am going to look for them ASAP to see if they're a winner for Charlotte. Ironically, she's always had a weird reaction to peas not nuts, but we'll see how these go. Thanks for sharing, sister!
