Five Fall Outfits

I'm changing things up on you ladies today and playing model.
These are a bunch of outfit shots that I took with my sweet new friend that is in photography school, Shina.  We took these about a month or so ago and I've shared bits and pieces of them on instagram, but I thought I would do a recap here on the blog.  It was/is still super hot here in Florida, so we are obviously working towards our Fall wardrobe.  Most days, we are still best in shorts or dresses; but I've definitely been pulling on the jeans lately.

{One}
This cowl-neck dress is an easy throw-on dress for running around town and is only $25.  It's cotton and a little on the short side.  I'm 5'9" so I have to be careful with that.  I love the layered look of the vest and wearing the booties makes it feel a little more like fall!

{Two}
This is another great dress option for a great price at $34.  I find it a little more clingy to the body, but a super soft material.  It is also on the short side.  I love the way I can throw on a scarf and some booties and bring this into Fall.  I'm also obsessed with this hat and kind of think it makes the outfit. I've linked up some less expensive hat options for you to try and see if you're ready to jump on the hat train too :)

This was a poncho I had from last year and adore.  Black and white is always a favorite for me and these ponchos are so easy to thrown on over jeans or leggings.  It's a great price and a nice weight for the southern climate.  I love these distressed jeans because they are high waisted and suck in my belly.

This outfit is pretty much the one from above, but I wanted to show you this tunic.  If you don't own one of these yet, you are totally missing out.  They come in tons of different colors and are only $27.  I think I may own 4 or  5 colors now.  They are a thin material, but I don't wear cami's under them.  The white may be the only color you might want to wear one under.  I just love that the tunic is long enough to cover my bootie and top of my legs!

I had to throw in a puffer vest outfit! I love all my plaid/gingham/and flannel shirts with a good puffer vest.  This was happens to be orange and blue to cheer on my Gators!  I own a few colors/styles in these vest and they make the perfect layer for our weather.

I hope you enjoy!  If I missed tagging something, let me know in the comments and I'm happy to let you know where it's from.  We took a few new pictures recently that I'll have to share soon.  They were a lot of fun!

Five on Friday + Blog Sponsor

It's Friday, so you know what that means...

{one}
We went yesterday to pick a few more pumpkins, this time for my Mom; so we dressed up in our Fall attire and hit the streets.  We also got to go visit one of my oldest friends and her brand new baby!! It was so sweet to see them and I cracked up because this petite little one month old made Madelyn look like a giant.  I realized my baby is no longer a baby anymore!!!

{two}
What are your kids dressing up as for Halloween? I already have Madelyn's costume, but Brody changes his mind daily on what he wants to be.  I'm scared to buy anything.  His latest is that he wants to be Buzz Lightyear which I think is probably pretty safe.  I think he would be happy with this one in the end.  Has anyone seen any cute Buzz costumes around? Here's one from amazon that's okay and it also looks like Party City might have a good one.

{three}
So our county fair is in town now through Halloween.  My husband seems to be so excited for it, but I've never really been a fair girl.  I pretty much hate all rides that spin around and make me sick and I'm not that in to spooky things.  What are you thoughts on the fair??

{four}
Last night I had a fun little cocktail party for a new organization {krewe} that I'm joining.  It's all girls and mostly deals with Mardi Gras festivities.  I wore this littel Mara Shirt Dress that I had from last year and my favorite Valentino wanna-bes.  I was really hoping that these babies would be back in stock, but they're not! They are still sold out in the nude and the black.

I'm really excited to introduce a new blog sponsor today.  I haven't done one of these and awhile and was flattered when Emily asked.  Her button has been on my sidebar for a little while, so hopefully you have already gone and checked her out; but if you haven't were here today to let you get to know her a little better! She is so sweet and has the cutest little red headed boys that are always dressed to perfection!

Meet Emily from Three Boys and a Girl...

Name/Age/Location
I'm Emily,  I just turned 31 {why does that sound so old all of a sudden?} and I live in Eastern North Carolina..think small town living!

Family
 I married my husband Patrick in January 2012. On November 5th, 2013 we welcomed our first son, Jack into our family. Almost 2 years to the day later on October 28th, 2015 we welcomed another precious son into our hearts, Graham. We also have a sweet chocolate lab who is 14 and I like to joke has 9 lives.

Work
Up until I had Jack I taught elementary school. After he was born I decided to stay home full time. I have loved being a stay at home mama and thank my sweet husband regularly for the opportunity!

Hobbies
I enjoy being with family, traveling {when I can convince my hubs!}, barre class, cooking..mainly baking, shopping, watching any reality tv, especially bravo,  and sports. You can often find me hosting a get together with our friends most weekends. I love entertaining and now that the weather is getting cooler the porch has become one of my favorite spots!

Why I Blog
I started my blog shortly after Graham was born. I have been an avid blog reader for years and have always wanted to start one but never had the courage to do it. On a whim one day I decided that I was going to do it. I am terrible about keeping up a baby book so I thought if anything this would be a great way to document my sweet boys lives and what we have been up to. I assumed only my husband and family would read it but have been pleasantly surprised at how many sweet readers I have gained and new friends I've met!

What I Blog About
I blog about my family, what is going on in my boys lives, lots of mom tips and lessons I've learned in the almost 3 short years I've been a mama. I love adding in recipes, decorating tips {holidays are my favorite}, and fashion ideas, especially cute and functional outfits for busy moms!

I hope you will stop by my blog and say hi! I love meeting new readers and connecting with other bloggers! You can find me on Instagram @threeboysandagirl and also on Facebook .

Thanks Emily, I loved having you!

Five On Friday | My Modeling Debut

Five on Friday

{One}
First, I just want to thank everyone for all of your sweet words from my post yesterday.  It means a lot and please know that I read them all even though I haven't been able to respond. Your kind words brightened my day :)

{Two}
I'm so pleased to hear from all of you that actually watched the entire Day in the Life of a SAHM video too!! I was a little nervous to put that out there, but all of your sweet feedback eased my mind.  If I were to continue to experiment with videos, what other types would you like to see??

{Three}
I had my first modeling gig last night, ya'll!! Haha. It was so fun.  Our local hospital puts on this event and this was the 40th Annual.  It was my first time attending and a sweet friend of mine that owns the store, Bluetique, asked me to be one of her models.  It's awesome to watch because they truly do a first class job setting up the runway and having a real agency run the event.  They had real models along with some of us "fake" models to display all the local clothes.  Thankfully, I only had to walk the runway one time; but couldn't take the smile off my face.  I think the champagne I drank may have helped with that :)

{Four}
I know I have seen 9 million posts about this, so you guys are probably sick of seeing it.  Today is the last day and honestly I haven't even had a second to look through it myself.  Typically, Shopbop is one of my very favorite stores to shop in...second to Nordstroms.  I will just share with you these couple of items that I own and have purchased recently.  The 25-30% off right now is hard to beat!!
I'm in love with my Mara dress (I wore it again last night) and both of these shorts in these photos are my absolute favorite.  I was so happy to see that these Mara shorts were back in stock in most sizes.  I wear these Rag & Bone shorts 2-3 times a week. They are so comfortable and still on major sale! Sizes have sold out fast in these during this sale though :(
