I'm still recovering from an amazing weekend that we spent in Seaside, FL. We had such a blast staying on the beach for 5 days with friends and celebrating the end of summer. It truly felt like the end of summer to me this year because as we got home on Monday, I had to prepare Brody's lunch and paperwork for his first day at Mom's Morning Out on Tuesday (more on that at the end).
I'm going to let the photos do the talking for the weekend. We spent lots of time at the beach with the kids and cooked in every meal and enjoyed each other's company with great views.

The weekend flew by and we all wished we had a week to be at the beach. It was so relaxing (even with 3 one-year olds). I'm ready to do it all over again next year!
When we arrived back home, I got everything ready for Brody's first day at "school." We packed his back pack and doggy lunch pail and got him dressed for the big day. I was nervous about dropping him off; but once I got into the classroom, he immediately started playing with all the toys and all seemed well...
Apparently it was well some of the time, but I think he had a really tough time throughout the day without me there. I was so sad to hear that. The teachers warned us that it can take a few weeks at the age for them to get into the routine. I pray that it gets better on Thursday. Please share your experiences with me and tell me it will be fine in a matter of time!!
Happy Hump Day!!
Such great pics, what a wonderful vacation!!
ReplyDeleteYour beach days look and sound amazing! The babes are all so cute together. I hope Brody adjusts quickly to school! I know it must be hard on you to think he is unhappy. Saying a prayer for a great Thursday for you both!
ReplyDeletelooks like SUCH a fun vacation! the beach is the best. xo jillian - cornflake dreams
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun weekend! The water looks so clear and pretty! And the kiddos look like they had a blast too!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a wonderful Labor Day weekend! Sorry Brody is having a tough time at "school". I'm sure it does take a little while for him to adjust to the new schedule and I'm sure he just misses his mommy :)
ReplyDeleteVacations with friends with kids are the best!! Brody looks like he had a blast!! He will definitely get better at Mom's Day Out. It really is just getting them used to it, and each time he goes will definitely be better than the last!
ReplyDeleteThose babies playing on the couch is too precious!! Looks like you guys had a blast! I love that everyone has kids because then no one is thinking secretly, ugh why did they have to bring their kids!
ReplyDeleteJealous!! How adorable are all those babies?!

that picture of the two babies asleep in the wagon is just too cute for words!! Looks like an amazing weekend and sneaking in some girl time is so great!! xo
ReplyDeleteLooks like such a fun weekend and even more fun that all the babies were the same age! Hang in there with Brody- it will probably take a few weeks for him to get adjusted to not seeing you all the time but it will be good for him in the long run. If worst comes to worst you can always take him out and try again in the spring. Miller's been having major separation anxiety lately with me so I think it's just this age.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like the perfect summer send off! What a fun weekend with friends! Thinking of you and Brody, hoping things go better tomorrow! Hang in there :)
ReplyDeleteAll children are different. My son never blinked an eye when we dropped him off in the toddler room starting at 11 months old. My daughter cries every day when I take her to school. It breaks my heart, but I always hang around for a few minutes and peer back in the classroom to see how she is doing. She is usually back to all smiles within a few minutes. I think it is harder on us than them, but he will learn to love it!
ReplyDeleteI love that you have all of those babies hanging around. How fun is that.
ReplyDeleteI hope Brody will get used to his time away from his mama. I'm sure it will be so hard at first, but like the other girls said, I'm sure he will learn to love it and basically start running out of the car! ;)
Wonderful photos- looks like such an amazing time
ReplyDeleteHope Brody adjusts quickly. My 4 year old just started Preschool and has cried everyday. It's so hard.
I miss Seaside! I love the pictures - looks like an incredible weekend. Hang in there with Brody. Sending lots of prayers your way for tomorrow!! xo
