Thoughts for Thursday

Welcome to Thoughts for Thursday.  Thank you to everyone that plays along week after week.  We love hearing from you and hope you enjoy hopping around and meeting other people. Some weeks my posts are structured with a common theme and some weeks they are totally random bullet points full of a complete brain dump! Anything goes.  So grab a button and join along :)

Thoughts for Thursday
Spring To Do List - I'm working on one of these.  And pretty much the whole list is organize, organize, organize and clean, clean, clean.  I feel like we have so much excess junk in our house right now, that it's driving me a bit crazy.  The toys.  The clothes.  The decorations. The food.  Oh wait...this is all stuff I buy.  Well I've got to do a better job of out with the old when in comes the new.  The clutter will make you crazy.  I've actually pulled clothes of mine that I was planning to do a blog sale with.  I haven't been able to pull it together yet.  Do you girls prefer doing the clothes sale on the blog these days or Instagram? Instagram proves to be a pretty great tool for clothes sales.

Back on Schedule - I wanted to let you know that life seems to be mostly back on track since writing this post last month.  Overall, I would say March just ended up being a rough month for us.  Brody did manage to get sick this weekend after his first week back to school in three weeks which is just ridiculous, but I'm trying to not even let it bother me! I'm hoping and praying for a good April.

Sleep - Our month is looking better so far because we are back to getting sleep at night.  I have a post sitting in my draft box that I'm anxious to finish soon on infant sleep.  Several of you have asked me about it and I think I have some good things to share for those that are interested.

Shopbop Sale - I love these sandals, this dress, these sunnies that I get hundreds of compliments on, and this super comfy tee.  There are so many cute purses for Spring and Summer too. Use code INTHEFAM for 25% off.

Balancing in Heels - I really enjoyed reading this book.  I always loved Kristin Cavallari during Laguna Beach and have enjoyed watching her life post-realitylife.  She opens up about her personal life and shares her journey of health, family and fashion.  I loved reading her take on food and how she started a new relationship with it when pregnant with her first child.  She shares some really good recipes and a few secrets on ways she balances life.  My ultimate goal...balance :)

Aden + Anais for Target - I was browsing through Target yesterday completely childless and spotted the cutest new collection of Aden + Anais for Target.  I knew they collaborated their swaddling blankets, but I didn't know they were going to bring their collection of baby clothes to Target too.  They were really cute and the same soft material that the swaddling blankets are made of!

Matt and I are headed to a wedding this weekend and looking forward to a little getaway!  I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.  I've still been trying to work on my snapchat game, so follow along on the weekend festivities at @annieamalone.

  11. Glad to hear Madelyn is sleeping better! And I will totally buy some of your boy hand-me-downs! It is so hard to find smocked and preppy stuff for boys around us! I know, the clutter is driving me nuts too! I recently started reading The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up and while there are some parts of it that are too WOO WOO for me, a lot of it is good. Now, I just need several weekends alone to implement it (not going to happen!) Let me know how you like Balancing in Heels! I like her app and am sure I would like her book too. Have a great weekend!
