Scenes from our Weekend | Vail

Happy to be reporting from Vail today and sharing our weekend fun!  I posted late on Friday that we had finally arrived safely in Vail and were quickly settling in.

The  weather is so nice here with slight chill in the air, but perfectly comfortable in the sun.  Brody has breakfast each morning by the fire and we try to squeeze in a nice walk everyday after we eat.

Please ignore the fierce sun in both of our eyes :)

Saturday morning we headed to Vail village to walk around and watch a bunch of kids doing a fun race that included biking, running, and tubing down the river.  It was so cute to watch these young kids compete in such a fun little adventure!

Brody had fun exploring and watching all the kids.  There are so many families here during the summer with their kids.  It's really incredible.

We took Brody to the Mountain Club to swim and have lunch.  He is loving his new little puddle jumper floaties to float around in and have some independence.

Saturday night we had a babysitter and Mom and I had dinner out and tickets to the Ford Amphitheater for a show called The Dance.  I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was so much fun because they had tons of different types of dancers perform.  Think Dancing with the Stars mixed with the ballet mixed with hip hop.  They did a great job.

I got dressed up a bit for our night out, but kept the shoes comfortable since we were doing a bit of walking.

Joie Blouse // J Crew White Jeans // Theory White Linen Jacket // Gigi Clutch // TB Miller Sandals // Kendra Scott Necklace

We sat at the bar at Sweet Basils for dinner and it was great because we met an interesting couple next to us and had fun people watching!  We both ordered fish and had a delicious toffee cake for dessert.

Instead of hopping in the bus to take us to the amphitheater, we had a pedicab bike us over which was so much more fun!

Sunday we took Brody up to the top of the mountain to the Game Creek Club and explored a bit more.  When Brody is a few years older, there will be so much for him to do.  They set up ropes courses and zip lines and trampolines at the top of the mountain for the kids to be entertained.

Does he look like he's five years old all the sudden or what?? I'm dying!

We completely wore the kid out as he was in the car for 30 seconds and completely asleep.

We cooked dinner at home Sunday night and sat around the fire pit after.  I had seen these packages in my Mom's freezer that one of her friends had given her as a hostess gift.  I pulled one out for us for dessert and we were completely in heaven.  They are the cutest sets I had ever seen.  And guess what??  Yesterday happened to be National S'mores Day and we didn't even know it.

Guess what else?? They are made in Charleston, SC.   They make the marshmallows homemade and they have tons of different flavors.  They are incredible and I can't wait to purchase some for my home this fall!!

Hope you had a wonderful weekend!  We will be savoring our last few days in the mountains....
