Scenes from our Weekend : Blue Angels

I mentioned Friday that I was kicking off one of Pensacola's most fun weekends of the year with the Blue Angels.  This weekend was another one for the books and we had a blast.

It's hard to picture what this weekend actually looks like (if you're not from here) but thousands and thousands of people head to Pensacola Beach for the Blue Angel air show on Thursday and Friday (practice shows) and then for the main event on Saturday.

Boats anchor on the bayside around a sandbar in Villa Sabine to watch the blues (picture the red neck yacht club) and tons and tons of families grab their beach chairs and umbrellas to line several miles of beautiful white sand beach.

On the Beachside:

We chose to do the Friday show this year because it's still a ton of fun but a lot less hectic.  We left the babies with their grandparents and took the boat into Sabine (bayside) for the show.  Saturday we let the boys do a little boat hopping and we stayed home with the babies and had our own little party!  By the time they got home on Saturday, we were pretty sure it was our turn to get out of the house for a bit and enjoy a cocktail.  So that's just what we did :)  The boys got to watch over the sleeping babies and we walked downtown to get a cocktail!

It was a fun weekend at home and loved hanging with friends and family!

I'm definitely lacking photos from the weekend! The whole weekend is pretty much spent in bathing suits and coverups with a lot of time in the water, so you get the idea...

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!!  I had so much fun seeing photos from my girls Morgan and Ashley in Atlanta for the Southern Blog Society Conference!  It looked like a blast and most of all it made me miss my old stomping grounds of Atlanta so much!! I lived 3 minutes from the W Hotel in Buckhead where they held the conference!!  I need a trip back really soon!
