Christmas Decor Home Tour

The halls have been decked in our home and it's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas.  The cooler temperatures have finally reached Florida and we've gotten cozy by the fire with our hot cocoa and  peppermint schnapps.  Being that we are in a temporary habitat, I went fairly minimal on the decorations this year, but still extremely happy with the way they turned out.  So without further ado, come inside...

My Mom had some nice decorations already around the house (we're living in her house) and so I utilized what she already had and then just added some fresh garland and the pretty 3 foot table top tree.   I kept the tree very simple with just a couple strands of white lights and some really beautiful sequined flowers she had already and then I bought a few little fun balls and decor that I could just place in the tree to make it pretty.  I do love the lime green and red decor together.

The mantel is simple, but turned out nice.  We Christmas tree on the bottom left has slots cut in it to place your Christmas cards.  It's so cute.

Since we are at my Mom's house, I had a lot of fun going through her old pictures of us with Santa.  It was so cute seeing them.  I am so excited to get Brody's picture with Santa this year and I hope I do a good job of keeping all his pictures through the years.  It does make it fun to be able to display them later.  Here are some of me and my brothers.

And one picture of Brody dressed up as Santa too :)  I did put a few cute Christmas things in his nursery too, but I haven't finished or taken pictures yet.

I'm linking up with Megan and Courtney today for the O'Christmas Tree Holiday Cheer in the Blogosphere link up.

I'm also linking up with Jessica, Ashley, Nancy, and Allison for the Christmas Decorations link-up today.

    1. This fireplace is gas with a simple on/off button and it makes sitting by the fire so simple. We love it and it looks so real and puts off great heat!

  8. I love that your tree only has big items on it instead of a bunch of small ornaments. Such a great change from the traditional tree!
