Scenes from Our Weekend | Christmas with the Adams

This year we celebrated Christmas with my family early because we will all be with our in-laws for Christmas Day.  My Mom cooked us an incredible dinner and we treated Saturday night like it was Christmas Day.  We all brought our gifts for one another, nibbled on apps, watched the kids play, and then sat down to eat.

It felt festive and fun to start Christmas almost a week early.  I've been dying to see how Brody will do this year with toys and what his little face is going to be like on Christmas morning.  I got a pretty good idea of it when my Mom opened her garage door and had all their big gifts set up inside for them to play with.  They were in choo-choo train and truck heaven!!

I shared links to the toys in case you are in need of some last minute 2-day shipping Amazon gifts!! These toys were definitely winners :)

Their faces when they walked into the garage to see all their "big toys!!"

And while the kids were busy playing with all their new toys, we sat down to eat this gourmet meal of Beef Wellington.  How ridiculous does this look?  That's filet wrapped in puff pastry with a mushroom pate filling and then we had Tyler Florence's green peppercorn sauce on top!!

The kids were so spoiled with wonderful gifts.   I'm not sure how we are going to find room for anything else on Christmas morning!!!
