Five on Friday

I haven't done a Five on Friday in a long time!  I have a few random things to share with you today, so I thought I would pull one together.  Also wanted to thank all of you for your sweet comments from yesterday's pregnancy post!! I'm glad ya'll got a few laughs and enjoyed it.  Pregnancy is an amazing thing for sure, but it's not for the faint of heart :)

Here we go:

{ONE}
I am so excited that the World Cup is on!!  I love watching the US Women's National Team compete during the Olympics and the World Cup.  Did any of you watch the game this week against Australia???  We won!  Brody was pretty stoked :)  I've mentioned in a post awhile back about my love for soccer in my youth and even though I haven't played in awhile, watching these games always brings back lots of memories!  We play Japan tonight at 8pm EST, so be sure to cheer them on!!

{TWO}
I made Natalie's recipe for this Soba Noodle Salad with Peanut Dressing this week and it was quite tasty.  I knew my husband wouldn't be a fan because he's lamo like that when it comes to good healthy food, but I scarfed mine up!!  I added some roasted peanuts to ours and a little rotisserie chicken.  I would recommend both of those!

{THREE}
If you follow @HomeofMalones on Instagram, you saw that I loaded up on some pink items for baby Madelyn from PBKids this week!  That boppy cover and Halo sleep sack were some of my favorite things we had for Brody when he was a baby.  That sleep sack works miracles!  The other one I linked to was also perfect because it was a lighter weight material and was good for the first two or three months.  The heavy weight material was good for months 3-6 when they are a little stronger and trying to break out of their swaddles more!!

Boppy Slipcover // Halo Chamois Sleepsack (I also love this one which is a lighter weight fabric) // Gingham Hooded Towel // Plaid Beach Hat and Diaper Cover

{FOUR}
Hubby and I have a hard time finding TV that we both like.  We typically rent movies because Matt hates TV series that never end.  He can't stand to wait a week between every show and then be left with an end-of-season cliff hanger only to have to wait a year for the next season.  It annoys me, but I get it.  These damn producers just suck you in.  Anyway, I finally talked him into watching Bloodline with me on Netflix.  We have watched 10 out of 13 episodes this week and we're both hooked.  I'm hoping to finish tonight (thursday) which I know is still going to end in a cliff hanger and he's going to be pissed!! Haha, he'll just have to wait until the new season is released.  At least Netflix releases all the episodes at once!
We've successfully watched House of Cards and Naked and Afraid together too if you need some show recommendations.  I've heard Blacklist is great which I might try to hook him on next :)

I also happen to think the guy that plays John in this series is super sexy! Does anyone know what other shows/movies he's been in?

{FIVE}
Lastly, I'm excited to announce that I have my shit together and I will be sharing an inspiration board for Brody's new big boy room on Sunday!!! I'm pretty excited to get started on it even though I'm petrified of the thought of him actually sleeping in it!!  This book below may have a little something to do with his new room too.  It just happens to be his favorite book ever!!!

Hope everyone has a fun and fantastic weekend!! See ya next week :)

Linking up with April for Five on Friday, Amanda,  and Farmer Bell for Oh Hey Friday.
