Thoughts for Thursday

Welcome to another Thoughts for Thursday.  Today is just a few random things from the week that I thought I would share with all of you.  Join Natalie and I and share your thoughts with us below!

+ I plan to download this audiobook for my flight.  I downloaded Girl on a Train for a car trip and finished it on my flight to Highlands last weekend and I loved it.  It made my drive to New Orleans go by so fast and it was nice to be able to listen to a book on my plane flight since I still can get a little motion sickness.  What books are you reading right now??  I need some more recommendations.

+ I'm determined to master the "mocktail" this summer.  I've enjoyed Tess's creation of the virgin Moscow Mule (ginger beer, club soda, lime) and then recently made Tiffany's recipe for a virgin frozen Mojito.  I used frozen Limade, club soda, ice and fresh mint.  It was so refreshing and delicious.

+ Brody is obsessed with being outside.  The weather has been really nice in the evenings and he has been sweet playing with his water table on the porch while Matt and I visit.  I attempted to make us a little picnic Tuesday night and let him play and eat dinner outside.  It was a success as far as him releasing a lot of energy running around, but my idea of him sitting on the blanket and actually eating dinner was totally shot.  He was way more interested in exploring and waving to all the walkers and runners going by.

+ My friend was wearing these adorable wedges this week and I had to go snag myself a pair.  They are the perfect size heel and super cute and comfy.  Our local boutique, Bluetique, started carrying the line recently and I love them.  The brand is Charleston Shoe Company.  Have ya'll seen them??  Mine are hot pink and I'm pretty excited about them :)

  1. Good Morning Annie, a book I would recommend, is No Body's Cuter Than You by Melanie Shankle. It's about women's friendships. I am waiting for it from the library to read myself. All the reviews and people's views on it have been nothing but great. I adore the shoes in the mint green color, love the wrap around on the ankle. Have a wonderful time on your trip.

  3. Thanks for the non alcoholic drink recs! I've been craving fruity drinks lately. Charleston Shoe Company has stepped it up! I used to think their shoes were so grandma looking! They're supposed to be so comfortable. I actually babysat for the owner's daughter a few years back, random!
