Thoughts for Thursday : All about Brody

Today is all about a little impromptu photo shoot with the Brodster.  Hubby decided he wanted to go spend the evening out at the beach last night (which turned out to be brilliant), so we packed up some goodies and made it out there around 5:30pm.

+The weather was perfection.

+ The sun was beginning to set.

+ And Brody had a blast playing in the sand.

+ I was trying to work on my photography skills a little bit. You might remember me vowing to learn my Canon Rebel T3 a few months back.  Well, I've watched a couple of YouTube videos from this guy.  Let's just say that I have a long way to go.  I'm pretty sure all of the photos you see below were taken on automatic because all the ones I tried to take on manual came out blurry and bad.

+ I'm happy to report that Brody seems to be doing better with his Mom's morning out.  He still cries when I drop him off, but he's happy when I pick him up.  It definitely makes me feel better to see a happy boy in the afternoon!

+ We are finally working on giving up the bottle.  Brody will be 15 months on Saturday and he was showing no signs of slowing down on inhaling as much milk as he could from the bottle.

+ He gets so pissed at the sippy cup.  He knows how to drink from it just fine, but not if there is milk in it.  He wants nothing to do with the damn thing.

+ Thank you Natalie for your advice and support on this subject.  We have hidden the bottles (as of Wednesday) and hopefully there will be no turning back.

+ Now, enjoy these non-iphone photos while they last because they're few and far between :)

  16. Brody is a doll and I love your top! Emily is at the same stage with the bottle. I really need to stop it... She can drink just fine from a cup also, but requests the bottle still. My boys were so easy to switch to the bottle, but she is a bit stubborn. lol She is also my last baby though so maybe its partly me trying to hold on. :)
