Palm Springs Wedding Weekend

I'm a week late on this one, but I wanted to be sure to document our trip to Palm Springs, CA for my cousins wedding last week.

It was a beautiful wedding and gorgeous trip.  We left at 6am on Thursday morning and got home on Sunday, so it was a pretty quick cross-country trip.  We left the kiddos behind with my MIL and our sweet niece who also came to help!

I had never been to Palm Springs before or really any part of the desert.  The mountains were gorgeous and Palm Springs really had this old Hollywood vibe.  All the buildings have this 1950's feel to them and I felt like I might run into the old Rat Pack at any moment :)  The history of the town is really neat and weather is absolute perfection!

We stayed at the Korakia Pensione Bed and Breakfast which is where the wedding was.  It was beautiful, quaint and quiet.  It was pretty cool over the weekend of the wedding because the entire hotel was filled by all family and friends of the bride and groom.  It made the wedding feel very intimate.

Thursday night my whole family headed out to dinner together.  I'm wearing this Mara Hoffman flag stripe dress and a pair of old Tory Burch wedges.

The whole gang!

Friday afternoon was the bridesmaid luncheon at this uberswank restaurant called Sopa at the L'horizon hotel.   The weather is so pleasant that all of our meals were eaten outside the entire trip.

I had a little trouble finding cute spring dresses for this trip, but ended up find a few great things from Revolve Clothing which I've only purchased from once or twice before.  They really have a great selection of cute stuff and I need to remember to keep them in mind more often.

I'm wearing this Amanda Uprichard off the shoulder dress and my Mom's dress is Trina Turk that she picked up while shopping downtown in Palm Springs.  How cute is it??

Friday night was the Rehearsal dinner at a gorgeous botanical garden. Me and my brother's snapped a quick picture together :)

I'm wearing an old Lilly Pulitzer dress.

Saturday was wedding day and was so much fun.  We spent hours in the most gorgeous bridal suite all getting ready together.  The bridal suite had a kitchen, living room, garden area and it's own hot tub.  You could easily stay a week there.

This is me and my gorgeous cousins. We are all only 3 years apart.

Sunday we headed home from Palm Springs excited to see our babies.  This photo was taken of Brody on Monday afternoon just a few hours before he had his seizure :(  I hope to get a post up this week documenting our experience.

I hope everyone has a great week.  I'm hoping for a really boring one.  Last week took it out of me!

  8. Don't you just love Palm Springs? We used to go every year before having a kiddo. Your outfits were perfect, too.

When Georgia was 2 she had a fever seizure and ended up in the hospital. It was TERRIBLE and so scary. :(
