Welcome Friends!
Today I'm sharing an updated house tour. You may have peeked at photos of our home over on our house tour page which I'm pretty sure is the most viewed page on the blog. For those of you that are new around here or haven't made it over to the house tour, I'm sharing a lot of those photos here today along with a few newer updates.
Bloggers are notorious for being nosy. We love to look into the lives of others and touring someone's house seems to be one of the most popular. I know I love seeing pictures of pretty homes any chance I get.
I've joined a few other wonderful blog friends (All Things Big and Small, Attention to Darling, Kids and Cabernet ,Simply Clarke) for a month of posts all related to the home. Here's a look at the schedule:
Monday April 18th: House Tour
Monday April 25th: Inspiration Gallery
Monday May 2nd: Nursery/ Nursery Plans
Monday May 9th: Favorite Decorating Resources & A Giveaway
My husband and I started building this house at the end of 2012. We moved in January 2014. It was a labor of love and mostly a super fun project. My husband was the builder and I got to pick out the pretty things. My Mom has an eye for decorating and she helped me a ton along with the owner's of a local furniture store here in town. I really enjoyed the process and hope to get an opportunity to do it again one day.
Come on in and take a look...
Foyer
Wine Cellar aka "Malone's Winery" under the stairwell
Dining Room
Kitchen {see full post here}
Wet Bar
Our Family Room
Powder Room
We have one room downstairs that started off as our home office. It stayed that way for the first 18 months or so when we lived in the house and then we quickly decided it would be the most functional as a playroom with a desk in it! Here's a look at it when it was a home office. Now it looks like this!
When it was a home office...
Now as our playroom!
Dirty and lived in...
CLEAN :)
Upstairs
Madelyn's Nursery formerly, Brody's Nursery.
When it was previously Brody's nursery....
Master Bedroom
Jack and Jill Bathroom between Guest Bedroom and Nursery
This next area is actually detached from the main house. It is a 2 car garage with one bedroom downstairs and then a large man cave upstairs above the garage.
I hope you enjoyed the tour! For specific sources, see original posts below. And if those don't help, please feel free to email me!
Be sure to also know that this is NOT the way our home looks 99% of the time! We have two young kids and tons of messes that ensue. I love a tidy, clean home; but it's mostly not in the cards for us right now during this messy season of life. It does make me happy to see these neat photos though :)

ReplyDeleteLove your house and love home tours in general! These are some of my favorite posts! My hubs and I built a house back in 2009 and boy was it crazy, but fun as well! I kind of want to do it all over again because I have so many more ideas... like a wine cellar under the staircase, for example. ;o) That is just brilliant!
ReplyDeleteI adore your house!! I can't wait to see the rest of your linkups. :)
