Five on Friday : Christmas Treats

Another Five on Friday today with these girls: Darci, April, Christina and Natasha. Today is all about festive appetizers, drinks, and desserts to bring or make for your holiday party!

{ONE}
 Puff Pastry Wrapped Brie - This is always one of my go to appetizers to bring.  Baked Brie is always a huge hit and there is lots of different ways to prepare it.  You can add some apricot jelly or any flavor your prefer or I love it with a little bourbon and brown sugar mixed together and then topped with chopped pecans.  Sorry I don't have exact measurements.

{TWO}
Puppy Chow at Target-  THIS STUFF IS AMAZEBALLS.  I hate Target for carrying it actually.  I can't stop eating it.  You probably grew up calling this puppy chow or muddy buddies and it was made with Chex cereal.  Well, Market Pantry has managed to perfect this recipe and you get so much delicious peanut butter and chocolate in every bite.  I've never made it this good...

{THREE}
 Grinch Kabobs -  These are so adorable and the perfect healthy snack to take to a holiday party this year!  **Easy Tip- drizzle lemon juice on your bananas so they don't brown**

{FOUR}
The Poinsettia Drink - I made this delicious cocktail last weekend and it was a hit.  Who doesn't love a festive champagne drink??

Poinsettia Cocktail Recipe

Ingredients
1/4 cup vodka
1/4 cup Champagne
1/2 cup cranberry juice
Crushed ice
2 strips orange zest, each about 1/4-inch wide and 2 inches long

Directions
Combine the vodka, Champagne and juice in a large-stemmed red wine glass. Add crushed ice and stir until the mixture is well chilled. Twist the orange strips over the glass, drop them in, and serve.

{FIVE}
The Holiday Dessert Cocktail - Freeze coffee as ice cubes and toss in a cup of Baileys and Vanilla Vodka

What's your go-to holiday treat to bring to a party??

  6. We always do brie like this for Christmas. I can't imagine any other time it could be more perfect to sit around eating gooey cheese :)

    I love everything you posted! Those coffee ice cubes + baileys are especially perfect, since being around family 24/7 is quite an ordeal, and a little sip of summin' is necessary at times. Haha! Have a great holiday season!!
