Today marks four weeks since Madelyn's been born which completely blows my mind. It seems hard to believe that it's already been a month. I'm hoping to have her one month update up this week and a birth story put together soon after. I did a good job documenting Brody's first year month-by-month and I'm really hoping to do the same with this baby. Those posts helped me so much with keeping up with his baby book and also made for a great reference when pregnant with this baby. Are these monthly updates posts that interest you guys at all? If not (don't worry it won't offend me at all), then I will try to post them on the weekends when there's not as many readers :)
Friday evening we were supposed to go out to dinner but Matt and I were both exhausted. I think we had hit our wall from lack of sleep and were happy to order pizza at home for the evening!
Saturday morning we went to our usual spot for weekend breakfast and enjoyed some eggs and pancakes. The weather was so so gorgeous we ran a couple of errands and then headed home to relax and watch football.
My little Gator fan :)
I took some photos of Madelyn on Saturday afternoon in this beautiful dress my Mom's sweet friend gave to her. Check out the matching little baby booties...Does it get any cuter??
Saturday night we left both babies with my Mom for the first time. Matt and I were headed to a friends house to celebrate her birthday. We were excited to get out for the evening, but always nervous to leave the babies. They did awesome and my Mom was a champ just like Matt's mom was with them last weekend. We are so lucky to have them!
A family photo before heading out the door.
The party was dinner at the birthday girls house and she had the house decorated so pretty for Fall! Did you see this beautiful arrangement I posted on Instagram (@homeofmalones) that uses a pumpkin as the vase??? I thought that was too cute and once I used the hashtag #pumpkinvase on instagram, I saw that other people did it too!! I knew you could do it with Mums but I just never thought of it with an arrangement like this.
The food was amazing!
Me with the birthday girl!
Sunday morning we headed to a new spot for breakfast and were ready to feed our bellies after our indulgent evening! My chicken biscuit with a fried egg and bacon...whoa!
Brody has actually broken his crib over the last few weeks. The frame was bent in the middle and we were trying to just keep fixing it each night, but enough was enough. It was time to move him out of the crib. This is what he looked like at nap time on Sunday. We just put his mattress on the ground and he did great. I'll keep you posted now that the crib has officially been broken down and removed from his bedroom. Pray it continues to go well for us!!!
I hope you all have a great week!!
That chicken biscuit omg! So yummy. That flower arrangement is absolutely beautiful, I have a major flower obsessed and that makes them so festive! Love all your friends Vietri dishes, those are our exact same ones!
ReplyDeleteI like the month to month baby updates!!
ReplyDeleteWoah, about the crib.. Keeping the mattress on the foot for a while might actually be good while you transition him into a big bed.. Not sure if you're there yet..
Good luck! Happy Monday!

ReplyDeletelove that dress you're wearing for sat night! details please! xo
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun weekend! I was just looking at a how to for pumpkin vases. I did it once before but I just stuck a potted plant in the pumpkin, which was easier than trying to arrange a bunch of flowers.
ReplyDeleteThat food looks so good! That's great you guys were able to go out for the night sans babies! That is too funny Brody's crib broke! Looks like he's pretty comfy on the mattress!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful weekend! Those bloomers with the big bow are absolutely adorable! Where did you find them?

Sounds like a great weekend! The party looks like a lot of fun and y'all definitely got some good food! Happy 1 month birthday to Madelyn - can't wait to hear the birth story :)
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how grown up and adorable Brody looks! Madelyn is just so precious. That dress and booties are too cute. So Miller is on a double mattress on the floor now and it's been going great. We keep a baby gate on his door so he can't get out but we leave the door cracked so that he knows he's not locked in. Hope it's still going well!
