Scenes From Our Weekend | Father's Day

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend celebrating Father's Day.  My weekend started on Friday morning when I drove an hour over to Mobile to meet one of my friends brand new baby girl!  She is a week old and absolutely perfect.  Holding her made it hard to believe I will have one of my own in just three months!!

That evening we headed to a birthday party to celebrate three precious little girls all turning 3 years old.  The kids had a blast running around, playing in the sand, and then enjoying snowballs from the Kona Ice truck!

The birthday girls and their Mama's...

This cute truck drove up half way through the party and let all the kids make their own snowballs!  Such a cute idea and glad to know we have one of these :)

Saturday we had another beautiful day out on the boat.  Brody has become quite the little boater this summer.  I'm so happy he is loving the water.  We met some friends and all the kids had fun playing on the small beach and splashing in the water.

That evening we had some friends come over for dinner.  It was fun having a little dinner party and worked out great because we can just put Brody to bed upstairs and then enjoy our evening :)  One of the other girls is also pregnant, so I decided to chill one bottle of this Fre Chardonnay which is a non-alcoholic wine.  Both of us agreed that it totally did the trick!  My first sip tasted sweet and I wasn't sure, but the more sips I had, the better it was :)  We can buy this at Publix Grocery for anyone that has Publix around.

We had a delicious dinner and one of the girls brought dessert.  She told me she making Banana Pudding which I love, but when she walked through the door and showed me this, I was so impressed.  I had never seen such a pretty banana pudding.  I will definitely be making this recipe from now on.  It was incredible!!!  Who's had it before???

Sunday was Father's Day and we woke up and showered Dad with some gifts and FD cards.  I made him a photo book from Shutterfly of our trip to Anguilla and Brody gave him two awesome canvas prints to take to his office.  I ordered them from CanvasPop and couldn't be happier with them.  They turned out awesome.   They are the 12'x12' square canvas with the photo wrap. The frame is .75" deep.   You can get $30 off a canvas of your own using this link.  I want to order like 10 more.  I love them so much.

After gifts, we headed to our favorite diner for breakfast.  These are the two cutest boys I know!!! :)

It wouldn't be Father's Day without a trip to Lowe's.  Brody had to be sure to ride all the tractors!! Let's just say that there was quite a fight getting out of the store having to drag him off these tractors.

We had a relaxing rest of the day.  We took Matt's Dad out for lunch and then came home to let Brody nap and have some more bonding time with Daddy and son.  Brody made sure to wear his Daddy out with about 2 hours of "horsey rides."

It was a perfect weekend.  Now we're looking forward to next weekend when Brody turns TWO!! It's hard to believe.  I'm sharing a few of his wish list items this week, so stay tuned....

  1. I had that exact banana pudding yesterday too topped with Chessman cookies! Wasn't it so good? It blows every other banana pudding I've had out of the water! I may need to try Fre wine. I had the brand Ariel when I was newly pregnant and maybe it was because I was nauseous already but it really grossed me out and makes me not want to try anything else non alcoholic!

I wish we could have a birthday playdate! Miller would have done the same thing at Lowes if we let him haha. Any truck, tractor, etc is our favorite right now.
