When I was preparing for our Thanksgiving link-up party this week, I started going back through photographs of my past Thanksgiving's with my family. We have had some really fun one's and I remember one of my favorites being back in 2011 in New Orleans at my Mom's house. I think Pinterest had just been born and I got the urge to do some of the cutest things for our table that year. I told my Mom to leave the name cards and Thanksgiving menu up to me!!
Wasn't her table gorgeous??? I loved all the Fall colors.
I can't find the exact printable I used to make these little menu's, but I found some that are equally as cute here. I just used construction paper for everything and then glued the little favor tag that says "Thanks" at the top. On that site, they also have some cute foldable tent cards you could use to label all the food. I think menu's are so much fun to have at Thanksgiving along with food cards, because sometimes different people are bringing dishes and you don't always know what everything is!
A year or two before that, I had been introduced to the blog, Our Best Bites. I came to Thanksgiving with these adorable Oreo Turkey's and Cookie Pilgrim Hats and my family was dying over the cuteness!! They made the most adorable name cards!! Get your candy corn NOW because they can be hard to find sometimes once Thanksgiving is here.
And lastly, I'll leave you with one of my favorite appetizers to make anytime; but I love adding these Fall leaves to my baked brie for the perfect Thanksgiving app. It's so easy and always a crowd pleaser.
1 sheet Puff Pastry
1/4c pecans
1/4c brown sugar
1 tbsp bourbon
1 egg for eggwash
You can either use both puff pastries in the package, one for wrapping the Brie and part of the other for the leaves. Or if you only want to use one sheet of puff pastry, cut off a thin slice to use for leaves.

I found a tutorial for these Pinecone DIY Name Cards. They were so cute and really fun to put together.

Baked Brie
1 Brie Round (8oz)1 sheet Puff Pastry
Preheat the oven to 375.
Mix pecans, brown sugar and bourbon.
Lay out the sheet of puff pastry. Place half of nut mixture in the center and spread it in a circle the same size as the Brie.
Place the Brie over the mixture and cover it with the rest of the nut mixture.
Bring the edges of the pastry up, a little piece at a time, overlapping. Bring the edges together at the top and press together to seal.
Cut the leaves out of separate piece of pastry and add them to the top.
Whisk the egg and brush the pastry covered brie all over the top and sides.
Place the Brie on the parchment paper, on a cookie sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes (until the pastry is golden brown).
What's your favorite part of Thanksgiving?? Does your family sit around a table and eat together or do you have a huge family that sits anywhere they can find a seat around the house??
