Thank you to those that are back for the second "Thoughts for Thursday" link-up party with Natalie and I!! We really appreciate everyone that partied with us last week and hope to see some new faces this week!!

A few fun items that I've looked at this week that I really love...
I've never owned a pair of Espadrilles before, but they have some really cute ones out right now.
I love so many of the custom patterns from the Annie Griffin collection. If you follow them on instagram, you can see some really cute new ones come out soon too! But this kaleidoscope pattern always catches my eye and the dress is great for summer!
I'm loving this maxi and it would be perfect for a summer wedding. Natalie blogged about it this week and the color and pattern really caught my eye!

I shared this design board for my home office last Fall when we were building our house. I still love it, but somehow our office doesn't feel or look anything like this right now. I did purchase that black and white stripe rug and have the Ikea Expedit bookshelf and Crate and Barrel office chair.
That glass desk was really good in theory (the space isn't huge and I thought it would make it feel bigger and look really sleek and modern), but it is SO DYSFUNCTIONAL. I told my husband last night that of all the furniture and things that I purchased for the new house, this desk is the only thing I really regret! One day we will probably move it because it can work as a table elsewhere, but for now I'm keeping it.
I need to just finish organizing the room and de-cluttering it and I think I will be happier. I'm in need of finding two matching chairs for the office like the black and white louis armchair I've shown below, but that one is out of stock. I found one below from Ballard Designs.
Arteriors polished brass lamp / Crate and Barrel modern area rug / Accent chair / Glass desk / Wall mounted shelving system / Crate and Barrel ivory leather office chair / Chinese garden stool / Mikasa Color Studio Black/ Platinum Zigzag Mugs (Set of 4) / Sally Benedict: 20's TOWER / Zebra Six / Love Never Fails Print Gold Foil
What do you think of this?? They offer so many different fabrics that it's so hard to choose!

Music has really been getting me through my cardio workouts lately. It's helped push me those extra 10 or 15 minutes that I need or sometimes just the extra 5 minutes. Sadly, I have been using my Vegas bachelorette party playlist from over 2 years ago to workout to. Grant it, it has some great tunes on it and I've added a few new ones to it over the last couple of years; but I'm really in need of some suggestions for new workout music!!
Please send any my way!!!

Thanks to Natasha, I made these easy and delicious enchiladas this week and they were so yummy and the leftovers were just as good if not better!!!
Honey Lime Chicken Enchiladas
Ingredients
6 tablespoons honey
5 tablespoons lime juice
1 tablespoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
16 oz. green verde enchilada sauce
3-4 chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
8-10 flour tortillas
1 bag monterey jack cheese, shredded
1 cup sour cream
Directions
1. Boil chicken until cooked through. Shred with a fork
2. Combine honey, lime juice, chili powder, and garlic powder together and add to shredded chicken
3. pour 1/2 cup of green verde sauce in the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish
4. fill tortillas with chicken and shredded cheese and place in baking dish
5. mix remaining enchilada sauce with the sour cream and pour over enchiladas, and then sprinkle remaining monterey jack cheese on top
6. bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes and enjoy!
7. I sprinkled a little chili powder on top after I pulled it out to make it pretty and garnish with a little cilantro if you have it or I used lime.

Love that maxi!!!!! And espadrilles, you could rock them for sure!! :)
ReplyDeleteI love that Parker dress! AND, I have to laugh - I listen to the oldest songs on my workout mix! If it still works and motivates you that's all that matters! Thanks for hosting the linkup! xo
ReplyDeleteI'm so sad I didn't link up this week - next week for sure!! I love the Espadrilles - those look so similar to the out of budget Chanel ones haha! Love the chair that you're going with!!
ReplyDeleteI make those enchiladas all the time and I love how good and easy they are! I always buy a rotisserie chicken ad shred. Saves so much time. Love that Annie Griffin dress. I've never bought anything from that line but I always like what I see.
ReplyDeleteMy two favorite work out songs are: Let's Go by Trick Daddy and Till I Collapse by Eminem- they're obviously explicit, in case you care, but they are awesome for motivating you to just go a little bit further or workout a little bit harder!!! I always keep Till I Collapse at the end of my workout mix to get me through the last part of my workout. Love that parker maxi- pefect for summer weddings!
ReplyDeleteI've seen a lot of folks posting those enchiladas, they are SO good! Definitely one of my faves after Ally made them for us! Love that dress, the pattern and color is so gorgeous! I haven't made it to the gym in a while but I really like Stolen Dance by Milky Chance (Weird name, I know. Its more of an alternative song, but the beat is good for running!)
ReplyDeleteI love that maxi dress!! So pretty! I love the idea of a glass desk, but I know I would never be able to keep it clean haha! Those honey lime enchilladas sound amazing!!
ReplyDeleteI swear I can look at a dress or top and know immediately if it'd be something you'd like! You always showcase such fun, bright colors and patterns :) Also, I'm going to blog about this soon -- but if you want to mix it up with cardio workouts, you should check out the rock my run ap!
ReplyDeleteThose dresses are super cute! I'm not a huge dress wearer myself, but I love to look at them! :)
ReplyDeleteStopping by for the first time! I'm loving your blog! Thanks for the link up!
I'd love for you to come check out mine!

ReplyDeletelove love that first dress! so cute. xo jillian - cornflake dreams
ReplyDeleteI have posted about that Parker dress before it is perfection!!! Pretty sure I could find an excuse to wear it once a month!
ReplyDeleteLove, love that Parker Bayou Dress! Hopefully you'll feel better about the office after it's organized a little better. I don't know why, but even after I purge in my house, I still feel like we have way too much! That armchair is also very pretty.
ReplyDeleteI am over the moon for those dresses! My spin instructors actually upload their playlists onto Spotify and I love them- my user name on Spotify is Emily DePetris and I follow all of their playlists! Hope you have a great weekend love!
