I'm going to let the pictures do most of the talking today. Our weekend really started on Thursday night when my MIL babysat and we walked downtown for the Fiesta Parade. Fiesta is a big deal in my town as it is an annual celebration of the founding of our city. In 1559, Pensacola was founded as the first European settlement...pretty crazy, right? A little history for ya...
Anyway, we had fun walking around all the floats and grabbing a few drinks and appetizers along the way. I snagged one picture with my sweet friend Courtney who's adorable. She rocked some awesome gladiator sandals for the parade. I wish I had a full length pic from the evening.
Sunnies: Ray Ban Top: Annie Griffin Collection Earrings: gift and I'm not sure the brand :(
Friday, I was feeling a bit sluggish; but we had a fun playdate scheduled and we also had Brody's first haircut!! I tried canceling the haircut at the last minute because I was too scared and sad to cut Brody's hair, but my husband talked me back into saying we will just give him a tiny trim around his ears (which is what he needed).
Top : Embroidered Tassel Top Earrings: Jcrew Pendants Shorts: 4" chino Shoes: Tory Burch Thora Sandal Bracelets: Virtue Jewelry and gold bracelet is old J. Crew
He was starting to get a little Bozo the Clown look going around the ears...Oh yeah, and we fed him to keep him still for the chop!
Crab Bubble from Haas in New Orleans
The final product. You can't tell that well in this photo, but he does have a bit of a mullet because I wouldn't let them touch his hair in the back because I love the little curls. The haircut has grown on me now, but I was sad for about 24 hours.

Saturday we ran errands and knocked some things out at home and had an early night.

I love this cover-up. I actually purchased this before our trip to Turks and it was on backorder and didn't come in time. It was like Christmas when it arrived. Here's the full view.

You guys had the perfect summer weekend, and all of your outfits looked so good. I need to do a summer refresh because I'm still in all black and navy clothing!
ReplyDeleteGood call on the hair cut-- just a little around the ears is all that was needed! :) I'm jealous of all the hair your little one has!! And, my little girl is obsessed with our neighbor's kids car like that. They are really sweet because now they leave it on their front porch and let us borrow it any time. She already has a wagon, a 4 wheeler and so much more so I am really happy to just borrow and not buy, haha.
ReplyDeleteStopping by from the link up - I love the hair cut!! what a cutie!
ReplyDeleteYour wardrobe is so fabulous!! I also love all of Brody's outfits!! I wish Greyson was still small enough for bubbles :( I promise the haircuts get easier after the first one! It is amazing how often these little guys end up needing to go!

I love seeing your OOTD pictures...keep posting! You have the best wardrobe. That coverup is gorgeous! I need to get Jack's haircut too on the sides, but I've been putting it off. My husband and I keep arguing about it. He is for the cut and I'm not. Brody's hair looks great!
