Every summer we always look forward to Blue Angel weekend here in Pensacola. Pensacola is home to the Blue Angels and this year was extra special to be a part of after the recent death of Blue Angel pilot, Jeff Kuss. It was amazing to watch the outpouring of support from our community in his honor.
Thursday started with a luncheon on the beach with the Blue Angel wives as we watched the practice run. It was a wonderful lunch and touching to meet the wives and hear a couple of them speak. It's amazing to see what a tight group they are.
Friday was a gorgeous day too and they had another practice round before the big day on Saturday. We took the boat out and anchored for the show.
Saturday was the big event and we were up and on the boat at 8am. The traffic out to the beach gets bad so early and the spot to anchor on the boat fill up quick, so everyone has to get an early start even though the show doesn't start until 2pm.
We had a blast and floated around the water all day long.

My lips are burnt and I got more than my fair share of sun this weekend. I'll be staying indoors to recuperate. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.
