Thoughts of Thursday | Life Lately

Welcome to Thoughts for Thursday's of the new year! If you are new around here, all we do is share our random thoughts from the week or that are on your mind and link up below.  Just link back to Natalie and I at the end of your posts!  We appreciate all of you for coming back each week and sharing your posts.  I've completely dropped the ball so far this year for my thoughts for Thursday posts, but I promise that I'm back!!  Today I'm just sharing some "life lately" pictures.  These are actually some of my favorite to read from all of you.  Just the random thoughts and opinions going on in life :)

+ I shared my first OOTD post of the new year on Instagram this week.  Nothing fancy.  In fact, very casual; but super comfy.  I'm in such a bad habit of wearing workout clothes 24/7 and have to step up my game.  I have a closet full of beautiful clothes waiting for me to wear.  Speaking of, I'm actually working on another Blog Sale to post this month with clothes, shoes and purses! So be on the look out.

ASOS Scarf (old, similar)

+ I posted this picture on Instagram (@homeofmalones) yesterday and it sparked lots of comments.  One of my goals for the new year is to try and wake up at 6am before the kids wake up.  It's so hard to do.  I have done it once so far in the new year.  The one day that I did, it completely made my day!! Getting a head start on the day makes such a difference and I hope to keep setting that alarm and try to roll out of bed!

+ Speaking of getting up early....this girl has still been quite the erratic sleeper this past month which has been made it even more difficult for me to plan on a 6am wake up.  It seems to be a mix of a few things that might be waking her up including the 4 month sleep regression, but I'm ready to get her back on track.  She seems to be more difficult to sleep train than I remember Brody being.  We started sleep training around 6 weeks with her and it went well at first and now she's back to wanting to feed in the middle of the night.  Let this be a short phase, please.......!!

+ Have you girls heard of Proper Peony?  I've got a pretty bad obsession going on right now.  Their Spring line was just released this month and is so cute!  I saw this picture below on Instagram where they monogrammed this gingham bubble with these cherries.  I'm pretty sure I have to copy that.  Proper Peony's signature look is the bubbles and dresses with the Tulip Collars.  They are adorable.  Smocked Auctions is now selling a knock-off of them for almost half the price.  So you might want to check them out too!!

+ Laura just did a post on a new-to-me company called Petite Marin.  I'm in love with this concept!! They actually take mens button down shirts (that may or may not have sentimental value to you) and make these adorable dresses from them!! Ya'll I am now dying to take one of my Dad's (who passed away two years ago) shirts and make a dress for Madelyn.  What an amazing heirloom, right?  I would love for that dress to be passed down for many generations.  Below is actually a picture of the one Laura had made.  So beautiful...

+ This weekend I am headed to Miami for my cousin's Bachelorette party.  A friend of mine sent me this picture below a few months ago from her Bachelorette party in Miami from over 6 years ago.  I now have it saved on my phone as a reminder of what my boobs and belly used to look like {whine}!!  Yes, that's me in the big floppy hat (sorry for the blurry pic).  And the sad part??  I thought I was fat then! I need small{er} boobs again.  And a semi-flat stomach.  So I'm going to do something about it!! I've just signed up for Our Best Bites Diet Bet.  Have you heard of DietBet?  Pay $30 and lose 4% of your body weight in 4 weeks.  You have the opportunity to win some extra money (the pot is over $25k already) and some great motivation from other players.  I'm pretty excited.  It starts on Friday, so hurry up and sign up!!!!

Okay, that's all for today.  What's been going on in your world so far this year???

  1. That baby girl of yours is so adorable, waking up early to that smile would please me just fine. But, in reality, sleep rules whenever possible. Good to catch up on this lovely Thursday.

  16. I feel your pain on the sleep regression! Mine hasn't slept more than 2-4 hours since she was born. It's almost hard to get into a routine and not rely on sleeping in or taking naps! Gaaaah! I absolutely loved Laura's post about petite Marlin! Such an amazing concept!
