Fridays seem to keep coming a little quicker and quicker each week now and I have a feeling it will stay that way through the end of the year! I don't really mind it though! I always look forward to the weekends. Can't believe Halloween will be here in just one week!! I love the holidays :)
Friday Five
{One}
Ashley blogged about some adorable new canvas prints of her children this week and I was inspired to get my butt in gear and order a few myself. I have been looking for something to go above the bathtub in my bathroom and I think these canvases will look perfect. I ordered 2 in a size 24x24. They are offering 40% off with code Leaf40 through the end of the month! That was big savings :) I don't own any canvases, even from our wedding! I'll let you know how mine turn out, but here's a look at some:

Well I attempted to make one of these this week and I totally failed!! It wasn't so much that I made the cauliflower crust wrong, it was that I cooked it on wax paper instead of parchment paper!!! I'm such an idiot, but I honestly didn't know there was a difference until I looked it up online after I ruined my crust. The problem was that it was completely stuck to the paper because you are NOT supposed to cook with wax paper. Parchment paper is more of a silicon paper that will keep things from sticking. #blondemoment. I'm determined to try this again though.

Vanderpump Rules Season 3
I'm slightly embarrassed to admit that I'm really excited for the new season of Vanderpump Rules to start on November 3rd. I just watched the season finale On Demand from last season so I could refresh myself on the restaurant drama! Anyone else love this show????

Jewelry Party | Bichon Beads
One of my friends hosted a super cute jewelry party last night. Her Aunt lives in Atlanta and started making these bracelets about 4 years ago when her daughter went off to college (UGA). Her daughter kept telling her Mom how popular these beads bracelets were and that she needed to make them. That's how Bichon Beads was born. She is trying to sell out her inventory and has photos on her Facebook page for anyone that might be interested. Let me know if I can help get you connected. They make great gifts for the holidays.

WIW (What I Wore) + What I Ate to the Jewelry Party
I am totally overdressed for cold weather in this photo. It was quite cool this morning and I got overexcited, but it was still in the mid 70s by afternoon/evening and I was peeling off the layers and kind of pissed I was in a turtleneck!! Ha! Obviously I am ready for vests and booties weather. I loved how my friend gutted a pumpkin for ranch dip and veggies and she made this Hot Crab and Artichoke Dip from Skinnytaste that was heavenly!!
Oversized Turtleneck // Excursion Vest // Loren Hope Necklace (old) // Seven Skinny High Rise Jeans // Suede Booties in Taupe // Bichon Beads
Hope you have a fabulous weekend!! Can't wait to go trick-or-treating in a week!!

ReplyDeleteWow those canvas pictures are beautiful; that will look fantastic in your home. I have been wanting to try cauliflower crust for a long time so thanks for the heads up about the paper because that so sounds like something I would do. I created a "hidden veggie" recipe that has cauliflower puree in it and to my surprise it tastes AWESOME. Have a great weekend darling!
ReplyDeleteTHAT. DIP. Love your party look and yes, fellow VPR junkie here hah. Wax paper is about pointless in my book; glad I never baked with it but I'm shocked it hasn't happened! Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I can't wait until I get a huge blow up of our wedding photos on canvas. I love canvas prints.
ReplyDeleteSecond of all, I love VP rules! Stassi is my favorite, but mostly because she's dating the guy who used to host the afternoon show on Cosmo Radio. I hope hope hope that means he will be in the show too this year. They just announced that Stassi is in this season.
