Scenes from Our Weekend

We had a nice weekend at home even though it always goes by too quickly.  We had some friends over for dinner on Friday night and tuned into the opening ceremony of the Olympics.  Apparently we got bored pretty quickly with the ceremony because it didn't take long before we whipped out Cards Against Humanity

Madelyn was modeling her sweetest Lyla Set from Elizabeth Layne Heirlooms.  If you haven't heard of them, you definitely need to check out her site.  She does amazing work and I'm kind of obsessed.

Saturday our friends had a joint birthday party for their one year old and three year old at their house.   It was a cute "under the sea" theme with mermaids and sharks and lots of water activities for the kiddos.

Saturday night we had a date night with another couple.  It's always so much fun to get dressed and go out on the town with my beau.  I wore this Line + Dot dress that I love and own in two colors.  It's so cute and comfortable for summer!

We had dinner at Restaurant Iron.  The food is just amazing.  I had a take on "Croque Monsieur."  It was actually made with lamb that was pulled like pork and was so delicious.  The flavors were amazing.  Matt had the ribeye that is huge and has the potato has with the mini quail egg on top.  The presentation is always beautiful.

Sunday we spent the day out on the boat.  Matt took this picture though that just cracked me up.  I mentioned last week that Brody has been peeing on the potty, but he refuses to poop.  We decided this would be the weekend that we forced the issue.  Well, joke was on us, because the kid just wouldn't go.  Poor thing.  I know he is just holding it in.  We tried everything :)

Cheers to Monday and hoping my child takes a $hit today {in the potty}!!
