It was so nice to come home from vacation on Saturday and enjoy two full days at home as a family!! It meant that Matt got to enjoy some quality Brody time before heading straight back to work and we were able to ease back into our weekly routine.
Brody was a little unsure what to think about Mom and Dad being back home after leaving him for a week, but he warmed up quickly to the idea and got over being a little pissed after we took him to breakfast at Waffle House for some "bay-bay."
We met some friends at the Country Club pool for a bit and Brody actually enjoyed the pool for the first time ever really. He loves his baths, but the pool hasn't always been his favorite activity. I'm hoping to get him warmed up to the pool this summer because he will start swim lessons in July and I want him to be ready!!!
Sunday evening we had my family over for dinner. My Mom cooked us a delicious meal and we loved catching up since we'd been gone for the week. How cute are these two??
Tired boys...
On Monday, it was rainy and pretty gross all morning around these parts...The weather finally cleared up a bit and we headed to my brothers house for lunch and some play time. We kept it casual with pizza and some pool time with the kids. We headed home around dinner time and picked up some chicken wings on the way. Brody was contemplating take his first bite, but he wasn't to keen on the idea. After dining al fresco, we put the babe to bed and Matt and I curled up early to watch American Sniper. It was amazing to watch the heroes that put their lives at risk to give us our freedom. They are much braver souls than I am and I couldn't be more grateful!!
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend and I promise to be back this week to give you a full recap of our trip to Anguilla. It was amazing :)
