Happy Thursday friends!! It's another fun link-up day with Natalie and I to share your million dollar thoughts for Thursday.
I'm getting back to bullet points today to cover some of my thoughts...
- First, I apologize to those of you that read my post yesterday which I was all excited about and probably got you excited about too just to let down because the Piperlime sale had already ENDED!! Stupid me. Seriously. Somehow I had my day wrong and thought it ended by the end of yesterday, but it was really by the end of Tuesday!! I guess that's what you get for writing posts a day early. I don't know....but I'm sorry!
- Secondly, I know I talked about a naked show last week; but I'm going to about another one today. Naked and Dating that I mentioned last week is really pretty crappy. It sucked us in for one episode, but I really hope not to watch it again. But this one. This one is really interesting. Two people (a male and female) are dropped off onto an island with absolutely no clothes, shelter, food or water and have to survive for 21 days. Parts of it gross me out, but I'm mostly intrigued. It's one of these discovery channel shows that I would normally roll my eyes at when Matt puts on, but this one I really like.

Lastly, I wanted to get you ladies excited about my very first blog sale!! I hope I'm not crazy for doing this, but I think it will actually be a lot of fun. I figure worse case scenario is that these beauties get to stay in my closet for a little longer and best scenario is that I get to see some of you lovely ladies wearing these pieces!!
- I want to share a little bit about how the idea of this sale began...
- My TFT partner, Natalie, made a post on instagram (@eastcoastnat) a week or so ago that her and her sister started a new instagram account where they were sharing photos of clothes they were selling. Brilliant, I thought!! It really is. Obviously they are not the first to do it, but it was just what I needed to see to get my mind turning. Make sure to follow them @shopnandpcloset!
- Once I saw it, I realized that there were so many clothes in my closet that I used to wear a lot for work, but I don't work any more. I still love them, but they just don't get worn like they used to. I wore a skirt pretty much every day to work for several years and now I hardly ever wear them. And in my very first job, I wore a suit to work most days. I definitely don't wear those any more, but somehow they are the hardest for me to part with. So they aren't part of the sale yet! ha.
- Besides work clothes, I also have items that just don't fit the same as they used to or I ordered Final Sale and they never quite fit right. Hopefully they can find a new home!
- I've decided to post the sale tomorrow (Friday) morning at 6am Central time. If you see something you like and want to buy, I will ask you to email me with your pay pal email account and I will send you an invoice.
- I wanted to give you a sneak peek at some of the items that will be on sale Friday. I would also love it if all of you wouldn't mind giving the blog sale a shout out on your blog, instagram, twitter, wherever..... I've set up an instagram account for the sale also {@shophomeofmalone}.
Brands: Lilly Pulitzer, Milly, Calypso St. Barths, Collective Concepts, Theory, Steve Madden, Amanda Uprichard, Susana Monaco, J. Crew, Tory Burch, Christian Louboutin, Jimmy Choo, Tucker, Diane Von Furstenberg, Juicy Couture and more!!
If you have ever hosted a blog sale or have any tips at all for hosting one....PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SEND THEM MY WAY :) I'll take all the help I can get!

So excited for the blog sale! Thanks for hosting today! xo
ReplyDeleteUMMM Christian Loub and Jimmy Choo - I am seriously hoping its my size!!!!
ReplyDeleteMy husband has me hooked on the Naked and Afraid show too. I mostly like how the girl always kicks ass and is a better survivor than the man! Kind of makes me giggle and give my husband the side eye. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Annie! I just came across your blog. I'm a new blogger! I look forward to hearing more from you!!!

Oh boy, I really hope you have big feet because I'm dying for those Navy TB flats.
ReplyDeleteA couple tips I've found helpful - if you're going to post the same items on both the blog and IG, I'd be sure to note that in both places so that people don't get snarky about who bid first. (you'd be surprised - it happens.) Then people know there are bids/emails coming in from multiple sources, so just b/c they're first to comment sold on IG, they may not get the item. Should save you a headache or two. And I find it's helpful to state a deadline for payment via Paypal. That way, if someone doesn't pay, you can relist the item.
I'm loving that TB bag too. Had my eye on it in black when it came out and kicked myself for missing out on it.
My husband is hooked on naked and afraid and totally sucked me into it! I don't know how those people survive, I wouldn't make it a day. Yay for the blog sale!! Good luck and I agree with Melissa's advice to mention it's listed in both places. Also make sure to add tracking to all of your packages- that way people can't say they didn't get something if you track it.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your blog sale! Looks like you'll be selling some beautiful things :)
ReplyDeleteThat show, oh my word haha... I want to check it out, but I'm scared! Can't wait to see your sale pieces tomorrow :)
ReplyDeleteSo would it be better to hit up the blog or your IG tomorrow? Also, what size are you feet? ;) I need to know whether or not I need to be sitting at my computer hitting "refresh" every second until a certain pair of flats pop up!
ReplyDeleteI heard about that naked dating show on the radio and thought it sounded not so hot. But the survival one you mentioned does sound really interesting! And I love the idea of a blog sale, so fun and practical.
ReplyDeleteHmmmmmmm so, your shoe size is......????
ReplyDeletedon't worry i get my dates mixed up too, and we of course forgive you!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a great idea for a blog sale! I will definitely be following. Oh and I love the Naked & Afraid show, it is so intriguing. I don't know how I would feel about the Naked & Dating show though, I haven't seen that one but it sounds a little sketch to me. The things people will do...
ReplyDeleteI'll be checking in!
ReplyDeleteWe watched Naked & Afraid this week, too! I seriously can't believe these people signed up to do this... they don't even get any money out of it I heard! Craziness. Can't wait to check out the blog sale tomorrow!
