Five on Friday

Happy Friday to everyone!
Linking up with the Five on Friday ladies today...

{One}

I'm sure most of you saw on the news or witnessed the horrible weather yourself that came through the southeast this week.   My hometown of Pensacola and Gulf Breeze Florida was flooded on Wednesday night with more than 2 feet of rain in some areas that all came within a 12 hour time frame.  Thankfully my family is safe as well as our home, but many people in our town were not as fortunate.  Restaurants, stores, roads, homes and cars were damaged and destroyed in the storms.  Please keep our community in your prayers.

On a lighter note, my adorable cousin came to visit this week and we had so much fun catching up.  We snuck over one night to Biloxi to visit some friends and had a girls night out on the town.  It felt like the old days when we were in college together.  I love having her around and wish I could keep her here!!!

She made these amazing mini-pies while she was here too.  If you follow me on instagram, you might have already drooled a little over these.   She found my mini pie maker and made a s'mores pie.  We used this pie crust (or just use the Pillsbury crusts in the refrigerator section)  and just added crumbled graham crackers, chocolate chips and walnuts to each pie.   Cook the pies for approx 10 min or until brown and then place marshmallows on top and stick under the broiler for about 2 minutes.  They were delicious.  Be sure to serve with vanilla ice-cream too!!

I shared a little more of our home on the blog this week.  We toured our second floor and showed you our Master Bedroom.  It's all coming together and hope you love it too!

Lastly, I will be headed to the islands next week and relaxing in the sun with my husband and no baby for 6 days!  I can't wait.  Don't fret...I have some super fun posts for you next week while I'm gone.  We will call it a "mini-series."  Be sure to check back and see what I have in store for you!!

Have a great weekend and see you when I'm back in the states!!
