Meet Natalie of East Coast Chic {Blogger Interview}

Natalie of East Coast Chic is here to answer a few of my questions today.  Natalie and I are both first time Mom's to little boys that actually share the EXACT same birthday!!  It was so much fun when we discovered it.  I found Natalie's blog a few months ago and loved reading about her son Miller and her honest nap time confessions that I always would read and feel like I could have written myself about my own son.  She also happens to live in an adorable home that she has started renovating and we definitely share the same taste for our love of a clean white chic kitchen.  They did an amazing job.  You will have to keep reading to see what I mean....

1. Occupation & Location
Stay at home mom to my 10 month old son Miller.  We live in Maryland

2. What made you decide to start blogging?
I started blogging right around when I got engaged so I could document my wedding planning experience and then it just evolved from there. I've taken some time off here and there but I never thought I would stick with it this long.

3.  Do you remember the first blog you read?
Hmmm I actually think it was Blue Eyed Bride- I think she was one of the first "wedding" bloggers back then

4.  What do you love to blog about most?
I love to share little glimpses of my life as a new mom and our house as we renovate it.  I also like to talk about my love of fashion and shopping.

5.  Where is your favorite place to vacation?
This is tough I love the Outer Banks, NC for the beach and relaxing but I love a long weekend in New York City for good food and shopping

6.  Three favorite stores to shop for clothes?
J.Crew, Nordstrom, and ShopBop

7.   Three things you can't live without?
My family, Mascara, and Cheese!

8.  Favorite room in your home.
My kitchen- we just renovated it and I could not be more in love with it!

9.  Three favorite stores to shop for home decor?
Pottery Barn, Homegoods, and Be Home (a local home store with fun finds)

10.  What does a typical day look like for you?
My day starts around 6-6:30am when my son wakes up and doesn't stop until he goes to bed around 7pm.  Now that the weather is warming up I try make sure that we get out for at least 1-2 walks a day with the dog and if time allows I try to get us to the neighborhood park for some time on the swings.  Otherwise it's just trying to juggle the day keeping an active 10 month old occupied and safe!  He is into everything and I can't turn my back for one minute.  It can be exhausting but I love having the opportunity to be home with him.

You can find Natalie here and learn more about her life in Maryland as she navigates motherhood and makes her house a home.

  5. Loving that kitchen! We just did a white kitchen in our new house, and I couldn't be happier. Ours actually looks very similar, so I think you have AWESOME taste. :) hahaha.

  6. Nice dress, I actually ordered a dress from a famous designer’s bridal collection as well for double the price and returned it immediately because the material felt so cheap compared to the my other one.
    Lululemon online
